Discipleship

At Glen Allen Baptist Church, many programs are available to teach, train, and lead our congregation to a deeper spiritual maturity from which they can share the gospel with others. We strive to support and advance each person's spiritual gift and to ensure that all members have the opportunity to become involved in the events of the church. Discipleship opportunities include:

Sunday School-a beloved opportunity for ministry and fellowship among classmates. Life-long friendships and support networks are forged in our Sunday School classes. Class formats include senior men, senior women, contemporary women, couples, dads, college & career, school-age, preschool, and nursery. Call our Minister of Education at 672-6648 for more details.

Choirs-Glen Allen Baptist Church provides music ministry for all ages. From our preschool Cherub Choir to our Adult Choir to our Hand bell Choir the opportunities to join in are plentiful. We enjoy the wonderful leadership of a full-time Minister of Music who directs an active program of year-round musical worship.

Wednesday Night Council-each Wednesday brings special fellowship and bible study opportunities at Glen Allen Baptist Church. During the school year (September to May) we meet each Wednesday for a fellowship meal at 5:45 and educational programs for all ages from 6:30 to 7:30. Our adult Bible study program is continued throughout the summer months, as well.

Bible Study-adult Bible studies are held throughout the year at Glen Allen Baptist Church. Traditional times are Wednesday and Sunday evenings. To learn of specific courses currently offered, please contact the church office at 672-6648.

Vacation Bible School-our VBS program is wonderful and draws the enrollment of nearly 200 children in the Glen Allen community. Structured classes are provided for ages 3 years through rising 6th graders. VBS is traditionally held in July and each year explores an educational course defined by Lifeway. Offerings include age-appropriate scripture applications, music, craft, missions, recreation, and snacks.

Youth Ministry-a program that is designed to guide our youth (6th - 12th grades) through the challenges they face. Programs are designed to make the Christian atmosphere both fun and supportive. Please see the "Youth and Kids" sections for more details.

Nursery-at Glen Allen Baptist Church, Jesus' love for children is taken to heart. We strive to provide for and nurture our little ones with the love of Christ. Nursery is provided for most church events and children are always welcome to join their parents.
