Outreach to the local community and beyond through Missions.

Glen Allen Baptist Church promotes missions education and ongoing mission projects. We have such mission organizations, such as, Mission Friends, RA's, GA's, Youth on Mission. We promote, and lead our church to give to World Hunger, North American Missions, Associational Missions, State Missions and the Christmas Offering for International/Global Missions.

Examples of "hands on" mission ministries in which we have participated:

• Prepared and delivered "treat bags" to our shut-ins and those with special needs, to show our love.
• Donated goods and money to Good Samaritan Ministries.
• Collected school supplies to be distributed by Henrico Social Services.
• Special collections of food and clothing.
• Prepared lunches and dinners for the homeless.
• Filled shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse, to be delivered throughout the world.
• Donated food baskets for those in need at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Donated food and supplies for Lamb's Basket throughout the year.
• Supported Henrico Social Services and area schools by giving food and gifts to families at Christmas and in some cases supported the families monthly and/or quarterly until they could support themselves.
• Provided bingo for residents at Crump Nursing Home, monthly.
• Participated in a walk to raise funds for the Virginia Home for Children and Adults.
• Provided help in time of crisis.
• Participated in Impact Virginia and North Carolina.
• Provided "handyman" ministry for seniors and others with need.
