Vital to the life of every community are its churches, and we at Glen Allen Baptist consider ourselves fortunate to be a part of a neighborhood with many strong congregations. Of course, we feel many people are finding added meaning to their lives through our varied programs and ministries. This feeling has been reinforced by comments such as:
"I feel very secure in knowing my children receive so much attention in your Pre-K and nursery programs."
"...a joyful worship experience conducted with warmth and dignity."
"I thought I would be lonely as a single person in the city, but I found friends here."
"No wonder you receive so many compliments on your music program."
Our church is something to experience; not just something to attend. We are a diverse group of people of all age levels and religious backgrounds, engaged in building a caring community characterized by affirmation of persons. Our programs are designed to meet the challenges of contemporary life.
Occasionally we "soar" and frequently we "stumble" but through it all we are growing in Christlikeness. We invite you to join us. There is a little verse of scripture tucked away in the pages of the Old Testament which says "come among us. You will be good for us and we will be good for you." And that of course is our hope and prayer. Namely, that you will find this community of faith to be all you need and want it to be. Your skills, abilities and commitment will help move us along and make us better and we will try hard to provide the spiritual nourishment for you "to be built up in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ."
There are many opportunities for worship, fellowship, learning and service. Many of these are highlighted on this website www.glenallenbaptist.org and in our newsletter "Glen Allen Goodnews." An early investment of time, energy and commitment with the regular worship of God and at least one small-group experience will add immeasurably to personal enrichment.
Welcome to God's unfolding adventure!
